If you going to draw people well, study how to draw drapery will be definetily helpful on your learning path. I can better understand how materials folds are forming by covering other objects.

That study is pretty simple to organize. You can take objects you are already used for still life drawing studies and cover it with drapery. 
Usually that study takes two times less time.

On a given illustration drapery is hanging on the wall and folds are formed by gravity and it's shades are more complex than particular basic shapes like cube or sphere.
